MOLECULAR AND NEURONAL PHYSIOLOGY OF CALCIUM CHANNEL COMPLEXES

Our research focuses on voltage-gated Ca2+ (Cav) channels and their roles in the nervous system. We use biophysical techniques to dissect structure/function relationships of Cav channels and electrophysiology, optical imaging, behavioral assays to define the contributions of these channels to the function, development, and repair of sensory neural circuits.

Acknowledging that differences in thought, culture, experience, and perspective drive creativity and discovery, we are committed to enhancing diversity in the scientific workforce through training and outreach.
